LSE Hayek Society Guest Lecture: Dr Sandy Ikeda Cities as Spontaneous Orders Thursday 27 October 2005. 5.30pm S066.
Dr Sanford Ikeda is Associate Professor of Economics at the State University of New York (Purchase). He earned his PhD from NYU and is Vice President of the Society for the Development of Austrian Economics. His research interests include the dynamics of government intervention and social capital in urban economies. Dr Ikeda will deliver a lecture on Cities as Instances of Spontaneous Order, analysing the urban metropolis from a Hayekian/Austrian perspective. The event will be chaired by Gene Callahan, Adjunct Scholar at the Ludwig von Mises Institute and research student at the LSE.
